The 2011 Audi A3 – Keeping The Tradition

Audi has unveiled the 2011 Audi A3 at the Geneva Motor Show. Still catering to the sport segment The 2011 Audi A3 maintains its sporty DNA with S line exterior upgrades standard on all models and available Quattro all-wheel drive.

The German manufacturer has sold more than 1.9 million Audi A3 since it was introduced back in 1996 worldwide. The Audi A3 gives an alternative for a high class sporty ride other than the Mercedes Benz and BWM.

The New 2011 Audi A3 has the same style element as the A3 introduced back in 2009 with leaning hood, styled fenders, oversize bumper and typical Audi grille. Two new colors made its debut with the New A3, Scuba Blue and Deep Sea Blue replacing the pervious Aruba Blue.

The 2011 Audi A3 offers two types of engines, 2.0 TFSI engine with 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque and 2.0 TDI diesel engine that has 140 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.

The 2.0 TFSI has a fuel consumption of 21/30 mpg (city/hwy) with front-wheel drive configuration while the 2.0 TDI gets a better mileage at 30/42 mpg (city/hwy) with ULEV-II emissions rating.

The Audi A3 2.0T offers a choice of two types of transmissions, a six-speed manual transmission for the A3 2.0T front-wheel drive and the A3 2.0T Quattro and a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission for the A3 2.0T front-wheel drive, A3 2.0T Quattro and the A3 2.0 TDI front-wheel drive.

The interior of the Audi A3 Premium incorporates a four-spoke, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and leather seating surfaces. A tilt/telescoping steering column allows driver to adjust his position with ease.

A number of convenience options like central locking, power windows with one-touch up/down function and cruise control are also came as standard option. The audio system equipped with Audi concert stereo system with SIRIUS satellite radio and 10 speakers provides entertainment, while a driver information system provides information such as fuel range, mileage, external temperature and audio settings.

A BOSE® stereo system is optional on the Audi A3 Premium Plus, offering 10 speakers and a six-channel amplifier for an even more impressive sounds quality

The imposing light-alloy rims measure 20 inches in diameter. In five twin-spoke design, they are made of CFRP and aluminum. The slender, recessed rims optimize ventilation. The tire format is 245/30 at the front and rear. The front brake disks are gripped by four-piston calipers. The ESP stabilization system has a Sport mode and can be completely deactivated.
